Boogaloo

Jon and I decide that we are going to go for a bike ride.  He tells me that he knows this great trail that is intermediate and should be no problem for me.  I inform him  that I don’t want to go up any hills or in reality no steep down hills either as I need to take it easy for my shoulder, hip and neck (I am getting old).  He assures me that Boogaloo is a nice n’ easy ride and it should take us 45 minutes from start to finish.  I’m in, let’s go….. and that is where the story begins.  After going up 3 very large hills in which I have to walk my bike up (that tired me out alone) the trail is riddled with logs – yes, logs that you have to hop your bike over, roots, crazy insane steep hills that you have to take a sharp right, then sharp left if you don’t want to go down a “drop”, yes – that is exactly what it states – a drop!, more up hill and some INSERT BOARDY NAME THINGERS HERE.  I crashed! Who needs skin on your knees and hands anyways?  Thought that I was going to vomit from exhaustion (it took 2 hours and 5 minutes from start to finish!) and to my amazement I actually had some fun!  Jon crashed a couple of times too - he’s a little more injured than I was as he actually rode his bike (I walked most of it… remember, I am old).  Take a look at the fun footage below…

  2. Is it bad that I had a chuckle at your expense? You should send that to FHV. Seems to me I remember an older biking video set in a winter background that ended almost the same. – haha. Good on you for trying that out Tammers!

  3. I’d never even try something like that – think it’s awesome that you two are!
