2010…start saving

Not too sure if you were listening to the news yesterday but ticket prices for the Vancouver Olympics have been posted on their site. From the looks of the list the prices are pretty reasonable. Here is a little taste of what they will be:

Hockey – Mens Gold Medal Game: $350-$775

Womens Gold medal Game: $125-$325

Speed Skating: $50-$150

SnowBoarding: $50-$150

Curling: $65-$125

Opening Ceremonies: $175-$1100 BUCKS!!!! just stay home and watch it on

tv & PVR through the commercials

Closing Ceremonies: $175-$775

Tickets go on sale exactly one year from today, so you should have enough paychecks to save for funding your trip if you choose to go. Look into booking your hotel soon, Or call 250-754-8923, reserve a room there and just ferry or fly over to the big city.

Thats what I am doing.

  1. You sure have a phunny idea of what “reasonable” is, JB!! I’ll pass….

  2. Well Murray, first thanks for commenting on our Blog.

You have to understand that these are top of the line athletes that you will (or in your case will not) be watching, the opportunity to see individuals compete at such a high level of Athleticism is not something many of us get to experience every day.

Unfortunately to see sport played at its highest level requires one to pay a high price, the Vancouver Olympic committee has ensured that the prices stay “reasonable” in comparison to other Olympics (Salt Lake City was notoriously overpriced).

As a fan of sport and the memorable experience the Olympics can provide, I my friend will shell out the cash to go to Vancouver and love every minute of it.
    Cheers

  3. That phone number looks awfully familiar! We would love to have you ….let us know when you will be here!

  4. Ha! And tickets to the Restrooms cost $58.50
I got “Ripped Off” on Tickets to the Calgary Olympics. Sent in money for hockey tickets, and the exec of the Ticket Office abscounded with hundreds of thousands of deneros. Luckily I got my money back, but it was well after the Olympics.
